Volunteer Opportunities

RAYS4HOPE.network

RAYS values matching interested community people who want to make a donation of time and talent to their community. Our volunteer program is managed through the structure of our RAYS4HOPE.network. The goals of this network are the following:

  • To raise the awareness of individuals in the community of the issues children and families are facing in today's world by engaging them in involvement in our organization.
  • To focus on building and sustaining a network of volunteers who are committed to taking 4 actions each year to make a difference in the lives of children and families through RAYS.

Some actions you can take are:

  • Adopt a family at a holiday time of your choosing so children less fortunate can share in the merriment of that time
  • Sponsor a child needing a new pair of shoes for school
  • Volunteer your time in organizing our RAYS4HOPE fundraising event
  • Volunteer your time by participating in our fundraising committee
  • Volunteer the time of your skills in areas such as technology
  • Wrap gifts at our December holiday fair
  • Give an annual financial gift to RAYS
  • Be an ambassador in the community of the work we do at RAYS to gain new support of other community members
  • Participate in our annual fundraising event

If you have a special skill not listed above that you wish to share contact our Development Director at 425-271-5600 ext. 21 or carols@rays.org.

Board Participation

RAYS is governed by a Board of Directors who volunteer their skills through governance and work on one of two committees. The two Board committees are Program/Policy Committee and Resource Development / Public Relations. If you are interested in more information about joining the RAYS Board of Directors contact Executive Director Richard Brooks at 425-271-5600 ext. 24 or richardb@rays.org.

Come be part of our volunteerism and change lives for the better!
